OK, it has been nice posting successes, but we all know with the good comes the bad. Here is one bad…and some advice.

Adding powdered products (yeast nutrients) to actively fermenting molasses solutions that are saturated with CO2 = Old Faithful-like Geyser. DON’T DO IT. Remember the mentos candy in Diet Coke craze. This was similar.

The arrow in the photo points to the impact site on the ceiling 6 ft above the fermentor where the 2 inch wide jet of sticky molasses splattered. I hope molasses is good for the skin and hair because I took a bath!
