Seeking Tasting Room Manager
Vitae Spirits Distillery in the city of Charlottesville, Virginia is seeking a full-time Tasting Room Manager for our new tasting room due for completion in mid-September.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a staff of Tasting Associates
• Develop and implement strategies to attract and engage target customers
• Serve customers and maintain inventories of alcohol and retail merchandise
• Track and report sales using a computer-based Point of Sale system
• Ensure that the day-to-day operations of the tasting room run smoothly
• Represent the distillery in a positive manner to customers and vendors
• Provide support for off-site events
Requirements:
• Exceptionally responsible
• Able to work non-traditional hours, including weekends
• Strong organizational skills
• Familiar with webpage design and social media outreach
• Capable of abiding complex liquor regulations and safety guidelines
• Adept at recognizing and resolving unexpected challenges
• Experienced in alcoholic beverage evaluation
• Willing to learn about and aid in spirits production
• Applicants must have the right to work in the United States, be over 21 years old and be able to drive legally.
