Did you know Grenadine is so much more than the corn syrup and red dye containing bottles at the grocery store? And that Orgeat is a syrup made from almonds? Discover just how easy it is to produce these syrups and more in your home kitchen. Students will have the opportunity to make and enjoy a themed cocktail with the finished syrups and receive a jar of finished grenadine syrup to take home.

Learning Objectives: After completing this class you will be able to:

● Create your own Grenadine and Orgeat.
● Utilize the basic recipe for all creative syrup making.
● Understand multiple techniques for syrup making and when to apply those differing techniques for incorporating juices, fresh fruit or herbs.
● Apply your knowledge from class at home to use syrups in cocktails and other non-alcoholic beverages.
