Barreled Coffee Liqueur Recipes

A pumpkin spiced latte with a twist

__________________

1.5 oz Barreled Coffee Liqueur

1.5 oz TJ’s Pumpkin Spice syrup*

1.5 oz Half-n-half

2 dashes Tiki bitters

__________________________

Pumpkin Spice Syrup:

1 lb Pumpkin Puree – 4 cups 

2 cups Turbinado sugar

1 vanilla bean

2 sticks cinnamon 

5-10 cloves

½ whole grated nutmeg

2 cups Apple Cider

1 tbsp Allspice 

1 tbsp Cocoa powder 

1 cup water

Combine all ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil. Turn down heat and let simmer for 20 minutes on low. Take off heat and let cool to room temp. Strain contents through fine mesh strainer and store in Cambro.

  1. Combine ingredients into shaker with ice
  2. shake well and strain into rocks glass with large ice cube
  3. garnish with fresh grated cinnamon

An old Fashioned with a twist!

1.5 oz Barreled Coffee Liqueur

5 Dashes Embitterment Chocolate Bitters

0.5- 1 oz Caramel Simple Syrup*  or Torani Brand

Orange Peel

Caramel Simple

1 cup Sugar

1/2 cup water

small squeeze of lemon juice

In a sauce pan, add sugar, lemon, and enough water to turn sugar into a wet paste. Turn the burner on low and continue to stir the sugar until it dissolves completely into syrup. Allow the syrup to simmer until golden in color and take off the heat. Add the rest of the water to the mixture and place back on the burner to bring back up to a boil. Take off heat again and let cool to room temp

Build in Glass

  1. Add orange peel, caramel syrup, and bitters to a rocks glass
  2. muddle together until oils from the orange have combined with the syrup
  3. Add a large ice cube to the glass
  4. add Coffee liqueur and give a quick stir

  1. Add both ingredients to a rocks glass with fresh ice
