Get ready for fall in a glass!  This cocktail will warm you right up.  The mulled fig cider is a perfect compliment to the Maple Finished Rum.

__________________

1.5 oz. Vitae Spirits Maple Syrup Barrel Finished Rum

0.5 oz Lemon Juice

2 oz Mulled Fig Cider *

Fig Cider

Combine 1/2 gal of apple cider, 8 oz dried mission figs (cut in half), 2 sticks cinnamon, 5-10 whole cloves, in a large cooking pot. Bring to a slow simmer and let cook for 30 minutes. Take off heat, strain off solids. Store in large ball jar in fridge

1. Combine ingredients in shaker with ice.

2. Shake well and pour into a rocks glass with ice.

3. Garnish with dried apple chip

Who’s ready for breakfast in a glass? This cocktail is perfect for brunch! The maple rum, paired with the blueberry compote tastes decidedly similar to blueberry pancakes!

1.5 oz. Vitae Spirits Maple Syrup Barrel Finished Rum

0.5 oz Lemon Juice

0.5 oz Blueberry Compote*

1 oz Orange Juice

0.5 oz Vanilla Simple syrup*

Blueberry Compote

Combine 1/2 lb lightly muddled blueberries, 1 cups sugar, and 2 cups water into cooking pan and bring to a boil. The final touch is 4oz of Bourbon Barrel Maple Syrup from Back Creek Farms, added after the boil.

Vanilla Simple Syrup

Bring 1/2 cup sugar, 1 cup water to a boil, simmer in a covered pot. Turn off heat and add 1/4 of a vanilla bean. Let cool and store in the refrigerator with the vanilla bean in the syrup for up to one month.

2. Shake well and pour into a rocks glass with ice.

3. Garnish with a 3 blueberries.
